On 27 January 2015, aged 34, extreme adventurer Sarah Hueniken (Canada) climbed Niagara Falls' semi-frozen Horseshoe Falls on the US/Canadian border, during an event sponsored by Red Bull. At the same event, she was preceded by fellow veteran ice-climber Will Gadd (Canada), who took the overall record for the first ice-climb of Niagara Falls. A huge fan of the outdoors and the challenges it can offer since she was a teenager, Hueniken has scaled mountains all over the world. She currently makes her living from giving private tours of the Canadian Rockies, involving a mix of rock- and ice-climbing, depending on the time of year.
