As of 13 April 2015, Sonic games sat proudly at the top of the best-seller charts for four different Sega platforms: Genesis (Sonic the Hedgehog 2, with 6.03 million sales), Dreamcast (Sonic Adventure, with 2.42 million sales), Sega CD (Sonic CD, with 1.5 million sales) and the Game Gear (Sonic the Hedgehog 2, with 400,000 sales).
