The show won in the categories Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series.
At the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held on 22 September 2013 in Los Angeles, California, USA, Netflix (USA) also became the first non-traditional TV network to win a major Emmy. The award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series went to David Fincher (USA) for the pilot episode of political thriller House of Cards, starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright (both USA). All 13 episodes of the first season of the show had been streamed simultaneously on 1 February that year.
