On 16 December 2014, twin sisters Tashi and Nungshi Malik (India, b. 21 June 1991) successfully climbed Vinson Massif in Antarctica. In doing so, they became the first siblings (and first twins) to complete the Seven Summits, the highest peak on each continent, according to the Carstensz lists of summits, having previously summited Kilimanjaro (Africa, 2012), Everest (Asia, 2013), Elbrus (Europe, 2013), Aconcagua (South America, 2014), Carstensz Pyramid (Australasia, 2014) and Mount McKinley (North America, 2014).
