From 30 October to 1 November 2014, Ubisoft and the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) staged the inaugural Just Dance World Cup, making it the first world cup ever based on a rhythm videogame. After heats that began on 13 July 2014, the finals took place from 30 October to 1 November 2014 in Paris, France, and featured 20 of the world’s finest movers dancing off to tracks by Lady Gaga, Arianna Grande and Rihanna. The eventual victor was Diego of Brazil. The 38-year-old Carrie Swidecki also competed, making her the oldest competitor at the Just Dance World Cup.
