The latest cycle of NFL television rights with major broadcasters began in 2014 and runs until 2022, it is reportedly worth over $50 billion— a significant increase over the previous contracts.
ESPN agreed to pay a reported $15.2 billion to show MNF (Monday Night Football) for the next 8 years, NBC will show Sunday Night Football for $8.55 billion over 9 years, FOX and CBS have bought the NFC and AFC packages respectively each for around $9 billion over 9 years. Since 2015 the NFL Sunday Ticket package has given DirecTV subscribers the ability to watch all regional Sunday games produced by FOX & CBS, this generates a further $12 billion over 8 years.
