The first set of twins to compete together in a national series NASCAR race are Amber and Angela Cope (USA, b.18 August 1983), who finished 26th and 30th respectively in the Camping World Truck Series race in Martinsville, Virginia, USA on 23 October 2010. The fraternal twins are from a long line of racers; their grandfather Donald Cope was a drag-racer in the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) alongside his brother Jerry. Amber and Angela’s father Darren Cope also participated in drag-racing while his brother, the twins' uncle Derrike, is a respected NASCAR racer who won the Daytona 500 in 1990.
