The first male marathon runner to win the Berlin, London and New York marathon is Wilson Kipsang (Kenya), who won the 2014 New York Marathon in New York, New York, USA on 2 November 2014, following victories at the London Marathon (2012 and 2014) and the Berlin Marathon in 2013. The three marathons make up half of the six annual races included in the World Marathon Majors. The others are Boston, Chicago and Tokyo. Kipsang broke the World Record with his 2013 Berlin Marathon run and just 13 months later he had won both London and New York to become the first man to win this unique marathon "triple crown".
