The earliest goal from kick-off scored by a substitute in a Premier League match was 5 mins 9 secs into the game, by Chris Smalling (UK) playing for Manchester United versus Burnley at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, UK, on 11 February 2015. Smalling entered the pitch after 4 mins 47 secs following an injury suffered by fellow defender Phil Jones. Just 22 seconds later he had headed in the first goal of the game and would incredibly score a second goal before half-time. Manchester United won the match 3-1.
