Disney’s Frozen, co-written and co-directed by creator Jennifer Lee (USA), has earned a worldwide total of $1.27 billion (£841 million) theatrically since its November 2013 release, making it the first film directed by a woman to earn more than $1 billion at the box office. It is also the highest-grossing film with a female director.
