Most times a country has hosted the CONMEBOL Copa America

Argentina has hosted the Copa America football tournament on nine separate occasions in 1916, 1921, 1925, 1929, 1937, 1946, 1959, 1987 and most recently 2011. Uruguay has hosted the tournament seven times with Chile also hosting for the seventh time in 2015. The USA will host a special centenary edition in 2016 with Brazil (2019) and Ecuador (2023) the next hosts.
