The most goals scored in a single CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament by an individual is 11 and was achieved by Luis Roberto Alves (Mexico) a.k.a Zaguinho in the 1993 tournament held in Mexico and USA from 10–25 July 1993.
Alves scored an incredible seven goals in a his first game against Martinique and added two more in the group stages. He also found the net in the semi-final against Jamaica and the final against USA, which Mexico won.
