The most wins of the Brickyard 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race is five and was achieved by Jeff Gordon driving for Hendrick Motorsports at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1994, 1998, 2001, 2004 and 2014. Gordon won his fifth Brickyard 400 20 years after his first victory and as such overtaking his teammate Jimmie Johnson, who had won the race four times (in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2012). The Brickyard 400 is a 400-mile race held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and is currently the NASCAR race that offers the second-highest purse behind the Daytona 500.
