The largest GPS drawing by bicycle (team) is 1,025 km (636 mi), achieved by Florent Arnaud, Franck Delorme, Maxime Brugère and Nicolas Meunier (all France), in Montluçon, Allier, France, on 5 November 2022.
The whole team belongs to the “Cyclos randonneurs Saint-Galmier” cycling group and are all big fans of the Guinness World Records books, so decided to attempt a record.
They chose to draw a Velociraptor as it is a play on words with the word for bicycle in French (vélo). The drawing took over 6 days to complete.
They also hope to raise awareness of climate change and to encourage more people to cycle: "Dinosaurs are a proof that strong species can go extinct quickly and a symbol of extinct species. We are the main contributors and victims of this environmental crisis and as is, we have the future in our hands!".
