The largest spit cake weighs 85.8 kg (189.16 lb) and was achieved by UAB Romnesa (Lithuania) in Druskininkai Municipality, Lithuania, on 30 May 2015.
This particular spit cake was a Lithuanian sakotis (meaning branched tree). It took 2 hours and 20 minutes to bake the cake which measured 3m 72 cm (12 ft 2 in). A team of four added the cake mix to the spit whilst a fifth maintained it rotating.
The ingredients included: 71.5 kg (157.63 lb) of eggs, 48 kg (105.82 lb) of flour, 36 kg (79.37 lb) of sugar, 32.4 kg (71.43 lb) of butter, 21.6 kg (47.62 lb) of sour cream, 3.6 kg (7.94 lb) of red palm oil and 18 g (0.4 lb) of flavouring.
