The largest serving of lagman soup weighs 687 kg (1,514.58 lb) and was achieved by the Kazakh Geographic Society (Kazakhstan) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on 1 May 2015.
The soup was made following a traditional recipe by a team of 30 chefs in celebration of the 5 year anniversary of the Kazakh Geographic Society and also national unity day in Kazakhstan.
