The longest video live-stream is 161 hr 11 min 32 sec in duration, and was achieved by Hulu (USA) in Santa Monica, California, USA, from 13 to 20 May 2019.
The attempt took place at Hulu's HQ in Santa Monica and kicked off at 1 pm PST on Tuesday, 13 May and ended at 6 am on Monday, 20 May. The stream featured three rotating members of Hulu's social team in a studio (plus special guests), as they watched the entirety of Game of Thrones, twice, with time remaining in the last seven hours on Sunday and Monday where they would pick episodes to watch at random.
The studio was decorated with various banners and Game of Thrones memorabilia, as well as toys, games, and puzzles, to help the streamers pass the time.
The team celebrated their achievement with a confetti cannon explosion on air!
In honor of the #GameofThrones finale, we embarked on a 161-hour watch to earn a Guinness World Record for longest live stream.
