The most goals scored in a single edition of the Water Polo World League edition is 56 and was achieved by Aleksander Sapic (Serbia) during the 2005 season. Sapic is one of the most prolific scorers in Men's International Water Polo and has finished top scorer in the World League on four occassions. In 2004 he scored an incredible 55 goals only to better that tally by one in the 2005 series guiding Serbia & Montenegro to their first title.
