The longest marathon playing padel is 40 hours and was achieved by Nathan Young, Marcus Mollinga, Benny Evinson and David Davies (all UK), in Blackpool, UK, on 22 November 2025.
Nathan attempted this record title with his friends Benny, Marcus, and David. As a child, Nathan was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma (a rare form of eye cancer) and as a result he lost sight in his left eye and is partially sighted in his right eye. His first born daughter, Izzy, was born with eye cancer also losing sight in her right eye. Throughout Nathan's journey, his family has received vital support from the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) and this attempt was an effort to fundraise for the charity and give something back. The cause is one very close to Nathan's heart. He said, 'Ultimately, without their support and resources we would have been struggling drastically both for my own journey and that of my daughter. I have been very lucky to have such understanding friends, who despite my condition are understanding and ensure I am included in things like sport, and Padel has been a good example. I set myself a lifelong goal which is to raise awareness for CHECT and raise as much money as I possibly can to ensure families have access to the treatment and support that me and my family had. I like to think my own personal story also helps promote that anything is possible, and even those with disabilities can enjoy sport whatever their condition!'
