The longest pinky swear chain consists of 1,658 people, achieved by Amakusa Chiiki Kanko Suishin Kyogikai (Japan), at Amakusa Pearl Line, in Amakusa, Kumamoto, Japan, on 25 September 2016.
The attempt took place as a part of Amakusa Gokyo's (Amakusa 5 bridges) 50 year anniversary. Participants made the chain on the bridges, pledging support in the wake of a series of natural disasters.
