A 25-language version of "Let It Go", the award-winning song from Disney's Frozen (USA, 2013; the highest-grossing animated film), was made available for download in January 2014. Accompanied by a YouTube video of the track as it was performed by Princess Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) in the movie, the dubbed version features 22 different female vocalists singing the lyrics in English, French, German, Dutch, Mandarin, Swedish, Japanese, Latin American Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, Castilian Spanish, Catalan, Italian, Korean, Serbian, Cantonese, Portuguese, Bahasa Malaysia, Russian, Danish, Bulgarian, Norwegian, Thai, Canadian French and Flemish. The vocalists on the dubbed version of "Let It Go" are: Idina Menzel (singing "The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen", the opening lines from the original English version), Anaïs Delva (French and Canadian French), Willemijn Verkaik (German and Dutch), Hu Weina, aka Jalena Hu (Mandarin), Annika Herlitz (Swedish), Takako Matsu (Japanese), Carmen Sarahí (Latin American Spanish), Katarzyna Łaska (Polish), Füredi Nikolett (Hungarian), Gisela (Castilian Spanish and Catalan), Serena Autieri (Italian), Hye Na Park (Korean), Jelena Gavrilović (Serbian), Jobelle Ubalde (Cantonese), Ana Encarnação (Portuguese), Marsha Milan Londoh (Bahasa Malaysia), Anna Buturlina (Russian), Maria Lucia Heiberg Rosenberg (Danish), Nadezhda Panayotova (Bulgarian), Lisa Stokke (Norwegian), Khun Vichayanee Pearklin (Thai) and Elke Buyle (Flemish).

As per the guidelines for all songs that are categorized as singles, "Let It Go" was released commercially on legal download sites such as iTunes and Amazon, alongside Idina Menzel's original version from the movie and full versions of all 41 foreign-language recordings of "Let It Go".

In addition to the languages featured in the dubbed version, "Let It Go" has been recorded in Arabic, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Icelandic, Latvian, Lithuanian, Taiwanese Mandarin, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. All foreign-language versions (minus the Canadian French version) were released on the mp3 album Let It Go - The Complete Set in April 2014.

Comparably, according to an interview given by Rick Dempsey (Senior Vice-President of Creative for Disney Character Voices International) to the Los Angeles Times, he recalls "casting for about 15 languages on The Lion King in 1994".
