On 8 March 2022, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) named Eminem (USA, b. Marshall Mathers III) as the country’s biggest-selling digital singles artist, with 166 million certified units. Drake was a close second with 164 million certified units, while Rihanna (155.5 million), Taylor Swift (134 million), Kanye West (129.5 million), Katy Perry (109.5 million) and Justin Bieber (107.5 million) had all passed the 100-million mark. The RIAA confirmed that Eminem’s 73.5 million new certifications had pushed his career total to 227.5 million – 166 million for singles and 61.5 million for albums.
