The youngest golfer to win a women's major golf championships is Lydia Ko (New Zealand, b. South Korea, 24 April 1997), who was aged 18 years 142 days when she won the 2015 Evian Championships at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France, on 13 September 2015.
Lydia Ko beat the eight-year-old record set by Morgan Pressel, who was also 18 years 313 days old when she won the 2007 Kraft Nabisco Championship. Ko was already the youngest ranked number one and the youngest LPGA tour event winner at the time of setting this record.
