Wood Brothers Racing Team began competing in the NASCAR Sportsman and Modified division on the dirt tracks of Virginia and the Carolinas in 1950. By 1953 they had moved up to the premier Grand National division (now Sprint Cup Series) where they have remained to this day. The team has had many highlights during its distinguished career including the 1976 Triple Crown with their driver David Pearson winning the Daytona 500, World 600 and Charlotte 500 in a single season.
