The first circumnavigation of the Greenland ice cap was accomplished by Dixie Dansercoer (Belgium) and Eric McNair-Landry (Canada) between 10 April and 4 June 2014. The 4,044.9-km (2,513.38-mile) kite-supported and unassisted expedition started and finished at N 66.02771 – W 39.26409, in a circular route on the world’s largest island and second largest ice body.
