Although he didn’t make his debut until Final Fantasy V, Gilgamesh is the most prolific featured character in the Final Fantasy videogame series. As of 27 November 2015, he had made 31 appearances across the main series, spin-offs and crossover games. The fighter has taken many forms in the series, initially appearing as a boss before becoming an ally of the player party.
