Eric "Lhexa" D’Avignon took 4 hours 47 minutes 36 seconds to complete Dragon Quest (Churnsoft, 1986) in 10 segments on 21 September 2013. Eric used the US NES version of the game, which was entitled Dragon Warrior, in his run.
Dragon Quest was originally named Dragon Warrior in the USA, until the US and Japanese names were unified under the Dragon Quest title in 2005.
It was also the game that launched the story-centred JRPG subgenre.
