Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo, 2017) rolled in for the Nintendo Switch with 42 playable characters right from the start. They included all the unlockable racers from the original Wii U version, plus new competitors from Nintendo's Splatoon franchise and a few from Mario's past.
