The oldest outfield player at the FIFA World Cup is Albert Roger Milla (Cameroon, b. 20 May 1952), who was aged 42 years 39 days when he played for Cameroon vs Russia in Stanford Stadium, Stanford, California on 28 June 1994.
During this match Milla also scored making him the oldest scorer in the finals. Until the 2014 World Cup he was also the oldest player in any position to have played at the World Cup before Colombian goalkeeper Faryd Mondragón surpassed his record.
