Fastest North Pole Marathon (male)

The fastest North Pole Marathon by a male runner is 3 hours 36 minutes 10 seconds by Thomas Maguire (Ireland) in the 2007 event. The North Pole Marathon is the most northerly marathon and has been held annually since 2002. The course at the geographic North Pole has been certified by the Association of International Marathons and Road Races.

The most southerly marathon is the Antarctic Ice Marathon, held on the Antarctic mainland at a latitude of 80° south.
