First Emmy award for a machinima

"Machinima" is the practice of creating animated films by manipulating videogame graphics. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone collaborated with Blizzard Entertainment for the 147th episode of South Park (the eighth episode of the 10th season), which was named "Make Love, Not Warcraft". The storyline saw South Park characters Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny exact revenge on a high-level World of Warcraft “griefer” (a player who deliberately harasses other players within the game). The episode first aired in the USA on 4 October 2006 and won the 2007 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour) on 8 September 2007.
