The most Paralympic Winter Olympic gold medals won by a male athlete in biathlon is 8, achieved by Vitaliy Lukyanenko (Ukraine) between 2006 and 2022.
At Beijing 2022, Lukyanenko won the men’s 6 km and 10 km in the visually impaired category to extend his golden tally to eight. Over the course of six Paralympics from Salt Lake 2002, he had also claimed two silvers and a bronze in biathlon, along with a further four medals in cross-country skiing.
