The most Rugby Union World Cup finals scored in is 2, achieved by Jonny Wilkinson (UK) for England in 2003 and 2007; and equalled by Beauden Barrett (New Zealand) in 2015 and 2023; and by Handré Pollard (South Africa) in 2019 and 2023.
Wilkinson kicked a total of six penalties and a match-winning drop goal across his two finals; Barrett scored a try in 2015 and touched down again in 2023. Handré Pollard is the only player to have won both finals in which he scored – in 2019, he kicked six penalties and two conversions as South Africa despatched England 32–12, and in 2023 he added four penalties as they edged New Zealand 12–11.
