Heaviest Paralympic powerlift (-54 kg, male)

The heaviest para powerlift by a male in the -54 kg category is 205 kg (451 lb), achieved by Sherif Osman (Egypt) on 6 April 2014 at the 6th IPC Powerlifting World Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Osman, who contracted polio at the age of nine, has set world records in four different weight categories (-52, -54, -56 and -59 kg). He is currently the only para powerlifter to hold world records in more than one category on the Paralympic programme (-54 and -59 kg).
