The longest bus in the world is the AutoTram® Extra Grand. Built as an articulated bus with three sections, the vehicle is 30.73 m (100 ft 9 in) in length and can carry a maximum of 256 passengers. This bus was a product of a joint venture between Fraunhofer IVI, the Technical University of Dresden and Wittur Electric Drive GmbH and as of February 2014 was undergoing pilot operations in Dresden, Germany.
