The fastest serve of a tennis ball by a machine is 273 km/h (169.6 mph) and was achieved by the NB Raonic Robot, developed by New Balance Japan, Inc. (Japan). This was certified at Chuo University Tennis Court in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan, on 3 March 2014.
NB Raonic Robot can serve in varying speeds from under 100 km/h to above 260 km/h. The speed was measured by a combination of high-speed camera and a speed-analysis software developed by NAC Image Technology.
