The most Champions League goals scored in a calendar year is 15 by Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) playing for Real Madrid from 13 February to 10 December 2013.
Ronaldo beat the record of 13 goals set by his rival Lionel Messi in 2012. He scored six during the 2012/13 knockout stages and nine in the 2013/14 group phase, which was also a record. He scored twice against Manchester United in two separate games, three times vs Galatasary over two games and once against Borussia Dortmund. This season he scored another three against Galatasary, three against Copenhagen over two games and three against Juventus over two games.
