Most money pledged for a Kickstarter design project

The most funded Kickstarter design project is Pebble Technology's (USA) "Pebble: E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android". An enormous $10,266,845 (£6,501,290) was pledged to the project by 68,929 backers, far surpassing the $100,000 (£63,300) goal. The project was successfully funded on 19 May 2012. The Pebble is a customizable watch that connects to the internet via Bluetooth, alerting the user to new messages, emails and calls and providing access to sports and fitness apps.
