The longest hole-in-one in the Ryder Cup is 213 yards (194.77 metres), first achieved by Paul Casey at the par-3 14th hole at the K Club course in Straffan, County Kildare, Ireland, on 23 September 2006. The feat was equalled by Scott Verplank (USA) the following day on the very same hole in the final day of the tournament. Scott Verplank´s hole-in-one was the first ever achieved by an American player in the Ryder Cup; it was also the first time a hole-in-one had been achieved on the same hole during the same tournament. In 1995 there were also two holes-in-one, but they were achieved on different holes by Costantino Rocca on the 6th and by Howard Clark on the 11th. Prior to that there are only two other incidences of aces being achieved at the Ryder Cup – Peter Butler (1973) at Muirfield and Nick Faldo (1993) at The Belfry.
