The longest hole-in-one on the PGA Tour is 332 yards (303.58 metres) by Andrew Magee (USA) on the Par-4 17th hole during the first round of the Phoenix Open at TPC of Scottsdale in Arizona, USA, on 25 January 2001.
To date this is the only Par 4 hole-in-one to have taken place on the PGA Tour, like many aces it was quite the fluke – Magee's long drive bounced along the fairway before striking Tom Byrum's putter and going into the hole. Byrum was playing with the group ahead and had been lining up a putt.
During the same tournament Mark Calcavecchia set a record for the most birdies in a PGA Tour event in what was a record-breaking weekend.
