The fastest mile pushing a pram (male) is 4 minutes 17.784 seconds, achieved by Stephen Biebelhausen (USA) in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, on 8 August 2026.

Stephen secured this record in the stroller division of the Guardian Mile event – an annual race across Cleveland’s Hope Memorial Bridge – with his one-year-old daughter, Blake.

He surpassed both the course record (4 minutes 44 seconds) and the overall world record of 4 minutes 26.29 seconds, which was set by Silas Frantz in Arroyo Grande, California, USA, on 24 June 2025.

Stephen completed the first 400 m in 65 seconds, and by 2 minutes 12 seconds, he had hit the halfway point.

The 30-year-old dad told GWR: “Blake gets so happy when we put the stroller in the car or pull into one of our running spots; makes the sting in the legs a little less when you hear her laughing.”
