The fastest average time to solve a 3x3x3 rotating puzzle cube while blindfolded is 13.97 seconds, achieved by Tommy Cherry (USA) at the Hefei August Open 2026 event in Hefei, Anhui, China, on 15 August 2026.
Cherry recorded solve times of 13.68, 14.48, (13.60), 13.75 and (15.87) seconds, with the fastest and the slowest times discounted from the average as per World Cube Association (WCA) rules.
He surpassed his previous record of 14.05 seconds, which he shared with Australian speedcuber Charlie Eggins.
