The most World Rally Championship points scored in a season by a driver is 290 by Sébastien Ogier (France) driving for Volkswagen during the 2013 season. Sébastien Ogier ended his compatriot Sébastien Loeb's record-breaking run of nine consecutive championships by winning the 2013 WRC and in the process scored 14 more points in a season, a record also set by Loeb in 2010. Ogier's winning margin of 114 points also beat Loeb's record of a 105-point winning margin set in 2010.
