A walk-off home run is a game-ending home run on the final pitch of the game that results in a victory for the home team. At 42 years 202 days, Jason Giambi (USA, b. 8 January 1971) is the oldest player in MLB history to hit a game-ending home run. Giambi accomplished the feat whilst playing for the Cleveland Indians with a pinch-hit home run in the ninth inning to defeat the Chicago White Sox on 29 July 2013.
Hank Aaron previously held the record of 42 years 157 days with a walk-off homer in 1976.
