Largest branched inflorescence

The largest branched inflorescence (a cluster of flowers arranged on a multi-branched stem, as opposed to an unbranched stem like those of normal inflorescences) is that of the talipot palm Corypha umbraculifera, native to eastern and central India, and also Sri Lanka. Its branched inflorescence, which grows at the apex of the tree's trunk, is 6–8 m long and almost as broad, and consists of up to several million creamy-white flowers.
