Malbork Castle in Poland is the largest brick castle in the world. Constructed largely in the 13th and 14th centuries by Teutonic Order crusader knights, it encompasses a 52-acre (21-ha) site and is made almost entirely from locally made bricks of a distinctive red hue. Inside, the grandiose Knights' Hall refectory can contain up to 400 visiting knights and guests.
