Largest mammalian nest

The largest true, non-communal nest produced by a mammal is the nest of the Western gorilla Gorilla gorilla, native to equatorial Africa, including the Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Nigeria. It builds simple daytime nests, but more elaborate night-time nests, which may be up to 1.5 m across.
