Most weeks for one author on the New York Times best-seller list

With over 90 novels to her name, all of which have been best-sellers, and total lifetime book sales estimated in excess of 800 million (0.8 billion) copies, Danielle Steel has spent more time than any other author on the New York Times best-seller list. As of 30 November 2013, the total was 790 weeks. Steel is also rumoured to be the best-selling author alive, and the fourth best-selling author of all time.
