Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world, isolated from any other peak. Its peak is 5,895 m (19,341 ft) above sea level. Kilimanjaro is the fourth highest of the world’s Seven Summits and is the highest mountain in Africa. It is a dormant/extinct stratovolcano whose last eruption was around 150,000–200,000 years ago.
