William Renshaw (UK) won six men's Wimbledon titles consecutively from 1881–86. Three of the wins saw him beat Ernest Renshaw – his twin brother – in the final. The Open era of tennis began in 1968, since then two men have won five consecutive titles, Bjorn Börg from 1976–80 and more recently Roger Federer from 2003–07.
